Customer Rating: Summary: Tragic Country Comment: I lived in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe for many years and am familiar with the situation in the country and with many of the people mentioned in Judith's book. She writes with a great depth of knowledge and personal experience, giving an accurate and comprehensive portrayal. This is not a book to be skipped through, it requires the reader to concentrate on the detail, particularly the large number of "dramatis personae", many of whom are, or were, leading political figures. This book is a factual record of a period in Zimbabwe's history which reflects very adversely on the Government of Robert Mugabe.
Customer Rating: Summary: An amazing story Comment: This is a truely amazing story about a woman who has lived her life serving others. For those who would like to know a little bit of the history of Zimbabwe this book puts the pieces together. As a young Zimbabwean born after independence 'born free' this book captures our history and is a must read for all others like me. A truely amazing story. If only we all had the courage to stand up of what we believe to be right.
Customer Rating: Summary: Through the Darkness:A Life in Zimbabwe Comment: Through the Darkness : A Life in Zimbabwe must be a shoking read; at least from what I have read in the Daily Telegraph of 9th July 2007 based on an interview Judith gave. I need to read the book to be able to make an informed commentry.
